Tony and I took a "much needed" short trip to Charlotte on Saturday night to attend a dessert and cocktail party for our friends Josh and Erin. They are getting married in Key West in just a few weeks. Before the shower we had dinner at Upstream, a wonderful, elegant restaurant in Charlotte! It was a nice evening! Here are some pics from the party:)

Damn that Chuck E. Cheese!

So what-do-you-know....Caroline is sick and has been since Wednesday evening. She has had a fever, a rash, and hasn't eaten a thing in days. I'm here to tell you that she hasn't cried this much since she was born. So, after being up all night last night (both Tony and I) we took her to the Dr. this a.m. (Saturday). She has a virus that gives children a fever, rash, and sores on their throat. The rash is one of the only rashes that appears on the soles of the feet and on the palms of the hand. She has them there and to our surpirse she has the ulcers on her throat. Guess that explains the crying and food protest. Poor baby. So, needless to say WE WILL NOT BE VISITING chuck e. cheese for a long long time!!! We went last Sunday and this virus takes 3-5 days to start showing symptoms. The Easter bunny should make her feel all better ...well, by the middle of next week anyway:)

Our good friends had a 70's birthday bash this weekend that was a lot of fun! Tony loved wearing the polyester and wants some more pants that are not brownish purple! ha. fun time. Happy b-day Tripp and Bill!

We met our friend the Soto's at Chuck E. Cheese on Sunday evening! What a fun trip for both families! The girls had a great time eating pizza and looking at everything even though most of the things there were for bigger kids. It was very exciting for them! And us!

Our God is an Awesome God

Praise God! My wonderful, amazing grandmother MEME just finished Chemo for ovarian cancer and just got her full body scan and is CANCER FREE! It is a miracle! God does answer prayers! What an inspiration she is to all of us. She looks so beautiful and trendy with her precious hats and scarves and I don't know why but her skin looks even better than it did before the chemo! We love you MEME!

The Flu

So, I have been in the bed, sick as a dog, sickest I've been in years, kind of sick since Tuesday night. High fever, terrible cough, congestion, chills, aches, you name it..I've got it. But on top of that...I have a 20 page research paper due today too. I have to thank Tony who has taken a day and a half off of work and my parents and my brother Jason for watching Caroline while I layed in the bed in misery. I honestly do not know what I would do without family near by! My fever has finally broken today and yes I turned in the dang research paper on time! I PRAY that no one else gets this even though I know it is spreading like wild fire. We have the windows open today airing this place out! :)
