The "not so terrible" twos

I have always heard about the "terrible twos" but think it really might be the terrific twos. Caroline has her days, don't get me wrong, but she says the sweetest things these days and enjoys the little things in life so much. She gets sooo excited about going to "the big movie" and loves to eat popcorn. And her favorite place in the whole wide world is the mall. Kind of nice for me...I can shop and take her to her fav place all at the same time.
Cute story - Last night we were putting her to bed, Tony was reading her a book and I was laying there listening with her. She was stroking my face while she was looking at the book that Tony was reading. I could feel her turn and look at me for awhile as she was still rubbing my cheek and she said "Momma, you're so pretty." Needless to say, I cried right then...little did she know her very pregnant momma needed a compliment:) Her sweetness has blown both Tony and I away. There is something so pure and innocent about the words of a two year old.
Update: I passed all of my pre-eclampsia tests! Thank you for the prayers...they worked! Only 50 some odd days or so until Baby Girl Perez arrives. We can't wait! Caroline's tongue has healed completely and she is almost 100% better from her double ear infection and the croup that snuck up on us two days after her tongue accident.
Hope all is well my friends. God bless!

The most beautiful conversation

Caroline: (looking at the cherry tree outside of our kitchen window) Mommy, Look at the pretty flowers!
Mollie: I know, aren't they gorgeous!
Caroline: Momma, who made those flowers?
Mollie: The tree did.
Caroline: No Momma, God did.
Mollie: You are exactly right my sweet angel.

It's been awhile...

We finally have gotten wireless internet at our house! I haven't been able to check my e-mail or update the blog in several weeks b/c our office has been moved as we have worked on our little girls rooms! They are complete!! And precious! Caroline has made the most smooth, beautiful transition into a big girl bed (double bed)and Tony and I have really enjoyed the time reading and snuggling with her in her bed. You just lay them in a crib for two years and can't get close to them...now we can enjoy bed time! It's been a surprisingly sweet time with our little girl who is growing up sooo fast. As for the other two baby girls (me and the baby in the belly...ha) we are doing really well. I get tired easily but have really enjoyed this pregnancy. However, recently I have experienced some swelling and high blood pressure so I am having some tests done today for pre-eclampsia. I really do feel fine so I'm sure that the test will come back ok! We'll hear later today. I just feel too good for something that serious to be wrong. Speaking of high blood pressure...it went through the roof yesterday when Caroline took a spill at the playground. She was running across a little swinging bridge and rolled off. I saw her fall and she landed pretty softly on her side so I was sure nothing was hurt other than her feelings. Well I ran over and her mouth is bleeding profusely. She had biten through her tongue and it was split almost in two. VERY scary looking and lots of blood. However, I learned something yesterday. Tongues are a very special little part of the body. They bleed a lot for a short time and heal on their own, even when your tongue is nearly in two pieces! So my little trooper cried for about two minutes and then acted like nothing happened. Needless to say, I was freaked out over her tongue but my wonderful dentist neighbor Terry Dawson assured me that it would heal back together in a few days. And this morning, believe it or not, her tongue was not seperated anymore and looked a lot better! So...Word to the wise...no need to freak out like me and rush to the emerg-care over tongue accidents...THEY HEAL THEMSELVES. But it's still very scary! :)

Such a big girl

Caroline is such a big girl! She has recently moved into a NEW room, on a whole NEW floor, and into a NEW BIG GIRL bed! She has done so well!!! Tony and I are shocked at how well she has adjusted to it...she actually loves her new room and her big girl bed! She has slept through the night and not caused a fuss at all. We have the upstairs all to ourselves now. For the past two years her nursery has been right next to our bedroom and master bathroom...so we have a real adult living space for now ...well until the next baby arrives! But her room is technically downstairs also beside Caroline's new room. I'm sure she'll be with us for the first few months upstairs. But we can flush the toilet at night now, shower and get ready as loudly as we want, and actually watch TV when it's not on closed captioning! Ha! I must note that I have slept with one eye open since she moved downstairs...I was worried sick about her being so far away (a whole 25 steps...ha)! I will post pics of her PRECIOUS new room soon!
