My dear (and very talented) friend Lindsey came to our house on Maggie's one week birthday to take her first pictures. They are the most precious pictures I've EVER seen! Click on the link below and be sure to watch the slide show!!

Life is so precious
Rebecca has been kind enough to keep my blog updated with pregnancy news and a few pictures for me while I have been recovering. (Thank you my dear friend!) I thought today while I had a free second I would make a post about my wild delivery and precious new baby girl Maggie Elizabeth.
First of all, this is the best baby I have ever seen. She sleeps like 23 hours a day/night and has been nothing but a pure joy to be around. I stay awake when I should be resting b/c I can't keep my eyes off of her...she melts my heart. I can literally count the number of times I have heard her cry since she was born on one hand. I was a little nervous about having two children but now can't imagine my life without this precious baby girl! What a wonderful week it has been with her here in this world.
This calm, content child however made quite the entrance into this world last Saturday evening. Tony and I were messing around the house and taking our time to go to the hospital b/c I was having mild contraction about 5 minutes apart. We had just gotten in the car and were excited about going to the hospital and meeting our new little girl (thinking it would be hours if not the next day before she arrived). Before we could get out of our neighborhood, I felt my water break (yes, in Tony's new car:..thank goodness I was smart enough to grab a medical pad to sit on) but was horrified when I looked down and saw no water but blood...and lots of it. We realized the seriousness of this when I kept hemoraging the whole 20 minute car ride to the hospital. It was most definitely the most terrifying thing that has ever happened to me. When we finally arrived at the hosptial (after Tony flew through traffic at speeds well over 100 mph) I had my clothes cut off and was in the Operating room within 5 minutes. The nurses knew by the blood loss that the placenta had torn away from the wall of my uterus and my precious baby and myself were in very serious danger. God was holding us both in His hands b/c the Dr. on call happened to be across the street when we pulled into to the hospital and had Maggie out within 15 mintues of us arriving. As he was sewing me up he said "Want to hear something scary...5 more minutes and your baby would not be alive." Not what you want to hear but wow...made us so thankful to have her and for both of us to be alive. Life is so PRECIOUS. Everything can be so normal and going right one second and then things can change in an instant. I thank God every second for Maggie's life.
I will post pics real soon! Thanks for your prayers and support friends. Love, Momma Mollie

Precious Precious Maggie
Mollie and Tony with BOTH of their little girls! And even though it's a dark picture of little Maggie, we wanted you to be able to see how adorable she is. She is the sweetest thing...she just eats and sleeps and yawns and makes the most precious little noises...and never cries! After really learning about what happened to Mollie and Maggie Saturday night, everyone is so incredibly thankful that this baby is here. During the Emergency C-section they realized that Mollie had a Severe Placental Abruption- which is when the placenta peels away from the inner wall of the uterus. They are not sure what exactly causes this to happen, but very often it causes death to the baby and the Mother. Thank God that Mollie and Tony were already on the way to the hospital when this happened, and that the nurses and doctor were ready for her and worked quickly to get Maggie out. They said that if they had arrived only a few minutes later that she would not have made it. Needless to say, everyone is thanking the Lord all day everyday that she is here and healthy!

3 days until we meet precious baby Perez
If she decides to stay nice and cozy in there all weekend, then Tony and I will head to the hospital at 5:45am on Monday morning! We are so excited about meeting this little girl! This planned induction thing is really nice! I have spent the morning filling her wipes warmer, setting up her monitor, and getting things ready for our new family member to join our home! It will be a good rainy weekend for us to get our house all ready for a baby! I CAN SEE THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL! Three more days! Keep us in your prayers this weekend and on Monday! All we want is a healthy baby!

High School Anniversary
May 13th - On this day 14 years ago Tony and I went on our very first date. I really consider this our "anniversary" b/c it is the day I truely fell in love and had a dash of hope that he might even like me the slightest little bit. We went to Blues Creek on his Sea Doo for the day. It was the best day of my life! I can't believe that was 1995. And here we are in 2009 awaiting our second child any day now. Makes me smile. I love you Tony, always have.

My mom is doing much better!
So after days in the hospital and many questions, they finally figured out that my mom has ischemic colitis. That is an infection and loss of blood supply to the large intestines/colon. Very strange as she has NEVER had any issues with her intestines before...BUT it is the best possible outcome we could have hoped for. It is so wonderful b/c there is no surgury/medication/ect...it just repairs itself. The prayers worked and this is really the best case scenario. Praise God...HE IS GOOD!
Now if this baby would just come out....:) The waiting and the swelling continues...

Cinco de "OH-MY" O
Our Cinco de Mayo was rather scary and eventful. My sweet, precious mother woke up and passed out on the floor. After a visit from the EMS, an emergency room visit, X-Rays, and a CAT Scan...she was hospitalized for an infection in her intestines. She had a long long day of severe pain in her stomach. She is gearing up for a colonoscopy tomorrow to see exactly what the problem is. They are saying right now that is is a form of colitis (infection on the large intestines) but tomorrows tests will confirm or change that. Please keep her in your prayers! We thought we might be in the hospital this week but not for this...poor Gram. Hope she's better soon!!!
